THE TRANSFER IS ENDING
Last week was week five of this transfer! I cant believe how fast it all flies by! Some fun things that happened this week are.... we had a sisters P-day at the Weeds home, we had deep clean which I love, Elder LeGrand R. Curtis Jr came to the mission and did a conference for the missionaries in Virginia and North Carolina, and we had fun doing service on Saturday. For the sisters P-day we just sat around and talked with the mission president's wife and the other sisters in our zone. I always love deep clean, you just feel so happy after all the junk is out of the apartment, and everything is organized! I love it! Elder Curtis was amazing, he asked the missionaries what our favorite great Book of Mormon chapters were and then he knew the story and recited verses from that chapter, from memory!! It was really cool! We did service for Sister Biddle in her little stables. We cleaned one out and put new shavings in it for the miniature horse to play in. His name was Tommy and he is such a cute mini horse.
The miracle from this week happened on Tuesday. We had Sister Hatch out with us to go see Brother Scherger. Well Brother Scherger canceled on us because he had a doctors appointment. So we decided to go visit and another active member with Sister Hatch. Well that member wasn't home so we asked Sister Hatch who she would like to go visit. She listed Rachel Ford as one of the women she visit teaches. Rachel Ford is Lamont's wife! We hadn't been able to get a hold of them for over 10 weeks! But when we went they both happened to be home and awake! It was a miracle for us to get to see them. We were so happy that Sister Hadlock finally got to meet Lamont! The timing couldn't have been anymore perfect. miracles really happen :)
Well I wish all yall a blessed week! Love ya
THIS WEEK
This past week we met a man named Aaron. I cant remember if I told y'all about him yet. but he has already come to church twice and we set him with a baptismal date in our second lesson!! He is golden! It is so fun to watch him grow so much in just one week. Even his parents have noticed a difference in him and his mom read the restoration pamphlet and asks him what he is learning! It is so amazing.
And we got to play with a lot of puppies this weekend. We set up with a member to take our their dogs while they would be gone for the day and they have baby puppies! So that was a lot of fun to play with them.
The work here in Mt Pleasant is going and going. It is always an amazing week when you are a missionary. I love all y'all and wish you a blessed week!!
6 WEEKS LEFT!!
The funny story for this week is probably how we cleaned our car. We got a new car this week, a 2017 Toyota Corolla, and we needed to clean out our old one to give it back to the mission office. Well it had been raining all week and we didn't want it to rain on us while we were vacuuming the car. So we pulled our car under the walkway up to the church doors. We used the church vacuums :) they work really nice. Now it is nice and clean and our new car has that smell of newness that we love.
Wow I sounds like I am three :) oh well we really like our new car!
The other fun thing that happened this week is that we went to Virginia beach!! It was so fun!! A member took us to tour a home that her husband is in the process of building. It was backed up to the beach at Sandbrigde. So pretty :) that was a wonderful day! Well that is just about it for the week. I love all y'all and I promise we are doing missionary work too have a blessed week!!
