Camping?!
This week we went camping!!..... In our apartment! A couple weeks ago we started planning our camp out and now it has finally happened. We got all of our supplies on Monday and throughout the week from members. We had camping chairs, a tent, a fire ;), an intense lantern, and a headlamp!! We went all out with hot dog lunch, tinfoil dinners (we made a super yummy casserole out of the leftovers), and SMORES!!! I have been living off of smores for the past few days. We had our pigtail braids for camping and we even made Mt. Pleasant, Virginia Chesapeake encampment T-shirts!! hahaha we had a lot of fun. Making memories are what it is about! So that was my fun thing that happened this week.
And that scripture chases that teach about our lessons are super fun and spiritual. We also had a blast watching the full length restoration movie with a part member family last night. It was wonderful the way the movie teaches all the important points of what happened for the Church of Jesus Christ to be restored to the earth. I highly recommend it for a family home evening movie. We were able to talk to the family about the importance of baptism and temples! It was a wonderful night :)
I wish all y'all a BLESSED week!! LOVE YA
Hey Y'all!

More Missionary Work
So many wonderful things this week! I love the fourth of July! We started off our celebration of America with going to the naval base in Norfolk then on Tuesday one of our investigators had arranged with us so we could see fireworks. Fireworks are illegal here but he had obtained some through driving to another state... haha. He said he would be lighting off at about 9 o'clock. So we parked our car out in front of his house and let him know we were there. He lit off quite a few areals then texted us saying that was it for now just in case the cops show up... hahaha. It was so fun.
The next day we had a wonderful zone conference about obedience, striving and receiving correction. I loved it! President Weed is amazing. On Saturday we had a heart to heart with Aaron about his baptismal date. He is still so excited to push for July 29th so that will be the goal!! He is awesome. He and JB and Scott/ Scott Jr all came to church and sat by each other in gospel principles. It was a glorious sight. The recent converts helping the investigator. That evening Aaron came to dinner with us at the Shields home... I hope he isn't sick of us yet cuz we are seeing him again tonight!! This ward is just amazing. I love all yall and wish you a BLESSED week!
This Week
This week has been full of wonderful service and fun adventures! We helped the Chase family pack up to move to Utah! It was fun to pack and clean. Now they are off on their way. We got to go have dinner with a family whose in laws were coming in town and they are members so they had us come over too :) I love being a missionary! The people here are wonderful, we have been seeing a lot of members to get Sister Stevenson introduced to them.
Then today we got to go up to the naval base! It was so cool! We got to see big ships and lots of aircrafts! I even got to sit in one! Can you tell I am a little excited... cuz I am!! It was really fun.
And Scott/ Scott Jr and JB are all doing so well it is amazing. Scott taught us about tithing and fast offerings this week and explained it perfectly, even what it is used for! We are excited for everyday because we get to work with such great people!
I bore my testimony on Sunday as my last fast Sunday on the mission. That was a little bitter sweet but I am glad I did :) I hope all y'all have a blessed week and just love those around you!! Life is better that way :)
Everything is just Amazing!!
