One Year!!
12 months ago I thought this week would never come. Then when it did I didn't even know it. I had forgotten that Friday was my year mark until we went to zone meeting and one of the sister I came out with was talking to be about it! Haha time really does fly. These past 12 months have been so wonderful. They have consisted of many ups and downs and happiness with hardships. I have had the blessed opportunity to see people who have become my friends enter into the waters of baptism and make sacred covenants with Heavenly Father. I have grown in understanding and testimony in ways I cant even describe. The friends that I have made here have helped me through all of it. I am so happy with the decision that I made to come one a mission. I am so grateful for everyone back home who supports me and prays for me. We missionaries really can feel those prayers, they make a difference. And to think that I still get to be here for another six months!! Wow I really love it here. We are seeing so much progression in the investigators and the members of this ward. They are all so nice and friendly. One of our investigators keeps telling us how he loves just how happy everyone is at church. He wants that in his own life, we know that this joy we feel comes from following the Gospel of Jesus Christ. King Benjamin puts it perfectly in Mosiah 2:41 "...consider on the blessed and happy state of those who keep the commandments of God..." I know that as we do our best to keep Gods commandments that we will be happy, not just in this life but in eternity. It has been a blessing in my life to be able to spend these past 12 months spreading this simple truth that means so much to me. What about the Gospel of Jesus Christ makes you so happy?
I love each of you and wish all y'all a blessed week!
Its Worse Than Utah!
Man the weather here is worse than Utah in making up its mind! We recently had a day up in the 80's, I baked and may have even gotten a little sun burned. Now it is back to jacket weather and warm boots. Its not as cold as Utah but it is crazier! This past week was really good, we have two baptismal dates now with Scott and Scott Jr, the Fords came to sacrament meeting, and we got nine new investigators :) This place is being blessed. Sister Jones has even gotten me out tracting... that is an accomplishment!
I went on exchange this week with Sister Stacey in Great Bridge. It was lots of fun, we talked all about missionary work haha. Church on Sunday was so good! This ward is pretty big and so friendly. Ward members just swooped in and helped out those that had come to church. This week was full of miracles and I just cant quite remember them... haha, we found an active member... that was funny. One of the members we had with us went all deep doctrine on an investigator, that was bad... but funny to look back on. Everything about this week was really just from Heavenly Father, it just all kinda fell into our laps. We started working with more part member families and reactivating the less actives. I love this area, its lots of fun. I love watching people progress.
This Week
I really don't have a lot to say this week. It went well and the area is doing great. Being a missionary is always wonderful. But just not a whole lot happened so this email will be short. I love you all and wish you a blessed week!
